I love performing in venues Ive never been to before and the venue for my latest wedding was stunning. The New Hobbit has amazing views of Sowerby Bridge and has the most incredible function room.
I first met LeAnn and Luke over 18 months ago when they booked me to sing at their wedding reception. An 18 month lead time is quite the norm as I get booked up 2 years in advance. I was really looking forward to this one as the couple chose all of the songs they wanted me to sing. This is exciting for me as it presents me with new challenges and gives me the opportunity to put my own stamp on songs I wouldn’t normally get the chance to sing.
Their first dance was John Legends “All Of Me” and their second dance was a new one to me, Ray LaMontagne’s “You Are The Best Thing”-a beauty!!
The first hour set was a mix of swing and love songs, the second set some cracking party tunes where everyone got up to dance-over 150 guests….
For the last song of the night they chose Robbie Williams ‘She’s The One’ it must be 5 years since I last performed this one but I so enjoyed singing it again as its just such a sublime song.
I then handed over to Stephan the DJ and had a good chat with many of the guests-what an exceptional night!!!
