I was delighted to be asked to perform throughout the day at The Ideal Homes Show Christmas Extravaganza. What a day!!
The band stand was set up and as the thousands of visitors came in they were welcomed by the Christmas songs of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin etc and it just helped to create a beautiful atmosphere…..did it feel wrong singing Christmas songs in early November??? Well the John Lewis advert is on TV now so….no! It felt good!!
Whilst on my breaks the Merseyside Rock Choir wowed the audience, they were awesome!
I took the opportunity of having a good look round at the different amazing exhibitions, had a good chat with Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen and even grabbed myself a couple of bargains
The response from the audience was overwhelming and so many opportunities created for the next couple of years. I’ve already agreed to go back to Events City next November
I was disappointed to hear the organisers had been let down by a performer cancelling the next day but in this business cancellations by some are par for the course, the old adage of the show must go on is very true.
If you need inspiration for Christmas I urge you to go and visit this show next year, it’s incredible!!!
